Body Guard
A downloadable game for Windows
This game is a school project designed by a group from Montpellier's CMI Computer Science Bachelor. It was developed within a limited timeframe using only the C++ language and the SFML library. This first version includes only the first level, and all comments and feedback will be appreciated.
Our project is a roguelike twin-stick shooter with a topdown camera. You play as a miniaturized soldier who is sent inside a sick body thanks to advanced medical technology. The body is infected with a treatment-resistant virus, and this mission is an innovation to push the limits of conventional medicine. The player must find a way to destroy the virus, but the task is difficult because the virus has control over the patient's organs. However, scientists have worked hard to help you in your quest: the soldier's body is in symbiosis with a bone marrow stem cell, which allows him to regenerate like a white blood cell if he dies. Additionally, the soldier can develop antibodies by studying the body's bacteria, making him more effective in combat. But will this be enough to save the patient?
You will have to explore different rooms, collect bonuses, and fight enemies to finally face the final boss. Good luck!
